Construction: Editing stage 3

Here are some more print screens showing changes we made to our video. A major problem that we had with our video was not only the lip sync being wrong but the fact that Movie Maker kept on pausing so when we played the movie back sometimes it ran good with the lip sync in time but after we close it and opened it again it was wrong. We then had troubles generally publishing it onto Windows media player as it stopped at 47% or even 98%. To resolve the problem we thought that maybe uploading it straight to YouTube would work, after countless efforts it did work sometimes but when we played it back the lip sync was still out of time which effected the rest of the video's timing with the lyrics. Unfortunately we don't have the print screens to show you our attempts of trying  to upload and publish the film from Movie Maker, but we do have the videos that we uploaded as a test to see what the problem was.

Troubles we had

This is the first attempt we made when trying to upload the video onto YouTube, we tried to take out a few transitions before uploading it but still the lip sync was out.

Troubles we had (second attempt)
Here you can see we added a dissolving transition into the next
scene of the birds. We used this to make it obvious that it is a different scene.

As you can see the lip sync is still out, so we did one final editing with the video which meant we added and removed a few things.

This is our final edit of the video on Movie Maker. As you can see we gt rid of the dissolving effect because the audience also suggested that it didn't 'fit', and instead added a fade in from white effect.

The top two pictures show how we added another clip related to 'nature' as it shows Genelle feeding the ducks. We added this clip as we thought it beautiful how natural the setting looked and made showed a more caring and vulnerable side to her instead of the 'grumpy' side, throughout the video you can see a change in her attitude towards this 'person.'

Other shots included was the 'merry go round' scene where Genelle is laughing and looks happy, we slowed down this clip as we originally intended to.
As you can see at the end we have the last chorus showing the band then it goes back to the first clip shown in the video which is of Genelle throwing the leaves at this 'mysterious person'. We had the idea to end like this as we thought everything linked together, and it made sense of why she was so happy at the end as her mood changed when she was having a good time with this possible 'love interest'. The flash back in the beginning linked to the ending which is what we were hoping for, this is known as a circular narrative.
